Belonging

Come Join our travel tribe (Click Here) and take a break from the daily grind while making some unforgettable memories. We want you to let loose and just be you with a sisterhood that gets you. We know that aging, caring for aging parents, and self-care can be a struggle.

Travel has been proven to reduce stress and improve mental and physical health. Plus, the sisterhood, group discussions, laughter, and fun are priceless. You deserve to invest in yourself and create new connections with like-minded women.

My love of travel is deep seeded in the need to belong. I, like many other travelers of the world, simply want to feel connected to something bigger than self.

The pandemic and the lock down of 2019 and 2020 really tested our emotional sanity and our need to feel connected to the world. Although we had Zoom, WebEx, Facebook and every other electronic medium to connect, it just wasn’t the same. Our electronic connections seemed very transactional when most of the world is looking for interactional regardless of their innate nature to be introverted or extroverted.

We found in 2022 that many travelers had so much pent-up travel energy that they were about to burst. “Revenge Travel”, as it was called, became a really big phenomenon.  It was that sense of belonging that we were missing. Many articles similar to Tracy Brower, PhD’s Forbes article, surfaced that were focused on our mental health and our need to belong: “Missing Your People: Why Belonging Is So Important And How To Create It”. We just wanted to connect once again with the world!

Airport lines were unreal and the airlines once again began to experience full flights; however, Covid tests for travel by air and by sea were a major focus but gone by the end of the year for most travel.  2022 was the beginning of getting back to normal, if there is such a thing, and 2BusyNot2Travel™ was ecstatic.

2BusyNot2Travel™ truly had a blessed and fulfilled 2022 thanks to our wonderful 2BusyNot2Travel Travel Crew and Black Chicks Travel Crew. Once again we could seek to fill that void of belonging to something bigger than self.

"A deep sense of love and belonging is an irreducible need of all people. We are biologically, cognitively, physically, and spiritually wired to love, to be loved, and to belong. When those needs are not met, we don't function as we were meant to. We break. We fall apart. We numb. We ache. We hurt others. We get sick."

"The truth is: Belonging starts with self-acceptance. Your level of belonging, in fact, can never be greater than your level of self-acceptance, because believing that you're enough is what gives you the courage to be authentic, vulnerable and imperfect."

If there’s one consistent message received no matter what continent we travel to,

it is the message that we all want to belong, feel valued and appreciated. Every where we travel we find friends in travel that are on a journey to feel a part of something that will touch their soul and lift there spirits to unimaginable heights. There is truly a strong desire in this world to connect and to share amazing experiences with others that can appreciate the journey as deeply as you. It doesn’t matter whether you are an Introvert or an Extrovert; whether you like dinner alone in your room or a night out with the girls; whether you are single, married, divorced or complicated; whether you are black, brown, white, yellow, red or in-between; we all want a connection of belonging, even if for only a moment in time.

When others see smiling faces; hear deep, heart felt, laughter; see interactions that appear genuine, authentic, unforced, enveloped in true concern, and caring which exude an energy of no one left behind and good clean fun vibes; they want to belong too!

This is what you get with the 2BusyNot2Travel™ and Black Chicks Travel Hosted Boutique Group Experience.

Every human deserves to feel heard and valued and at 2BusyNot2Travel™ and Black Chicks Travel we value the individual and their individuality. We desire that each traveler is rewarded with whatever they expect the journey to hold with a layer of delicious almond vanilla butter cream icing on top.

The key to Living Life to the Fullest is recognizing what you do and don’t have control over as well as analyzing the risk present in each situation.

Someone recently asked  if they had to be of a specific ethnicity or gender to travel with 2BusyNot2Travel and Black Chicks Travel….

In 2022, we enjoyed many 40+ with a sprinkling of late 30’s; black, brown, white, red and in-between lovers of travel and life; solo, couples and group lovers of travel and life; men and women lovers of travel and life; Introvert and Extrovert lovers of travel and life; Leader and Follower lovers of travel and life; Self-Employed, Full-Time, Part-Time, Consultant, Professional lovers of travel and life; and they all brought their authentic, fun-loving, objective, respectful, open-minded, professional, ADULT, and positive attitudes along for amazing journeys with amazing lovers of travel and life.

I have watched solo and couple travelers join our travel tribe as true introverts and/or loners determined to never be included in group photos; determined to just do them without group interaction; determined to eat alone and to only enjoy excursions of their choosing with no interaction, whom now have developed life long travel friends and miraculously are front and center with the biggest smiles in that group photo. It might take some longer than others to get there; but, that’s OK!

2BusyNot2Travel and Black Chicks Travel just wants you to enjoy the journey and to broaden your worldly perspective. We simply want you to see the world, experience the world, realize that we truly aren’t that different from continent to continent and most of all, learn to Live Life to the Fullest!

"I don't carry myself as a black person but as a woman that belongs to everybody. After all, it's the general public that made me - not any one particular group. So I don't think of myself as belonging to any particular group and never have.."
